Cleans flooring in office buildings, group homes, and other facility buildings as assigned.

Vacuums and shampoos carpets.

Dusts furniture.
In the dorms, moves beds for dusting and carpet sweeping.
4.
Washes walls, ceiling and woodwork.
Cleans windows inside and out (door panels and sills).
5.
Dining room:
cleans floor and furniture.
Assists as needed during meal times.
6.
Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
7.
Sweeps sidewalks around assigned areas.
8.
Cleans vents in all areas.
9.
Requests supplies as needed from supervisor.
10.
Maintains all equipment in good working order.
Reports all broken or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
11.
Strips floors and applies a new finish.
12.
Shampoos carpet and applies stain guard.
13.
Extracts carpet stains and bunny buff.
14.
Adheres to all safety procedures within the department.
15.
Does all other duties as required by the Environmental Services Manager.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Language:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Able to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-on and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Able to do simple math.
Measure rations of cleaning solution.
Reasoning Ability:
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instruction.
Ability to deal with problems involving as few concrete variable in standardized situations.
Education:
High School preferred.
Minimum acceptable is a 10th grade education or equivalent.
Experience:
Related preferred.
2 years experience in a similar position required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None Other Skills or Abilities:
Ability to use standard janitorial equipment and supplies.
Skilled in operation of floor care equipment.
